Terms of use

What is available now
This version offers free static QR generation and PNG/SVG downloads. Saved codes are stored in your browser, not in a customer account. There is no paid entitlement system, editable redirect service or scan analytics. Business and reminder pages encode their content in the link fragment; editing them requires a new QR code. Access to these pages depends on access to this website.
Your content and responsibilities
You retain rights in your content. You must have permission to share it, obtain any required consent and follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Test the final code and destination before distribution. A QR code does not establish that a destination is safe, approved or legitimate. Do not put passwords or confidential personal information in public codes.
Limits of the current service
Static codes contain their original content. We cannot remotely erase or deactivate downloaded static codes, control independent destination websites, or promise uninterrupted availability of a third-party destination. We do not currently provide central moderation, individual hosted-page removal or account suspension controls. These limits do not exclude any non-excludable consumer rights.
Changes and Australian rights
Material commercial changes will be disclosed before purchase or renewal; new charges will not be imposed on an already paid period. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Applicable Australian law governs these terms without removing mandatory protections available where a customer lives. No exclusive court jurisdiction or blanket liability waiver is imposed here.
Purchases, cancellations and refunds
Paid subscriptions are not available through this site yet. Square links have been prepared separately, but they are not connected to account access. Do not pay through a separate link expecting this version to unlock Pro features.
Planned pricing and renewals
The proposed price is A$9.95 each month or A$99 each year, billed in advance and recurring until cancelled. Planned Pro prices INCLUDE GST: A$9.95/month includes a GST component of A$0.90; A$99/year includes a GST component of A$9.00. Tax invoices will show ABN 36 692 978 984 and GST. No trial, setup fee or cancellation fee is currently offered.
Cancellation before launch
If you have already subscribed using a separately shared Square link, use the subscription-management link in your Square subscription email to cancel future renewals. If that link is missing or fails, contact the seller using the contact details on your receipt; you may also seek help from Square. QR Studio remains responsible for resolving service and refund issues. An on-site cancellation process and monitored support contact must be available before commercial launch.
Australian Consumer Law
Consumer guarantees and other non-excludable rights apply where required by law. A major service failure may entitle you to cancel and obtain a refund for services not properly supplied, or retain the service at an appropriately reduced price. Compensation may also be available for reasonably foreseeable loss. For a minor failure, we will provide the remedy required by law, including a reasonable opportunity to fix it; further remedies can apply if it is not fixed within a reasonable time. These rights are not limited by a fixed claim window or a change-of-mind policy.
Change of mind and billing errors
No additional change-of-mind refund promise has been introduced in this pre-launch draft. Cancelling a future renewal does not itself determine entitlement to a refund of earlier charges. Duplicate or incorrect charges and payments for services not supplied must be investigated and corrected, with any refunds or other remedies required by law. If you paid for Pro while paid access is unavailable, request a refund from the seller using your receipt details.
Before any sale
The final offer must state its actual features, billing interval, renewal date, cancellation method, and what happens to hosted content when access ends. Do not assume a static code expires when a subscription ends. No payment should be accepted for a feature that is not supplied.
Acceptable use and QR safety
Use QR Studio only for lawful purposes. These restrictions apply to the QR content, linked pages, files and images, as well as subsequent changes to a destination.
- No scams, phishing, deceptive payment requests, credential theft, malware or attempts to compromise devices or accounts.
- No unlawful goods or services, exploitation or sexual abuse material, credible threats, unlawful harassment or other illegal content.
- No impersonation, misleading affiliation, counterfeit activity, infringement of copyright or trademarks, or unauthorised disclosure of personal information.
- No linking around these rules, concealing prohibited destinations or replacing another person's QR code to divert their visitors or payments.
Only use branding, photos, contact details and other materials you are authorised to share. Keep linked information accurate. A code made here is not an endorsement by QR Studio or TIC Clean Group.
Response to misuse
Where we have technical control, action should be proportionate to the issue and may include restricting affected functionality, preserving relevant evidence and responding to valid legal requests. An urgent safety issue may require immediate action. Where appropriate, the affected user should receive reasons and an opportunity to request review. This current static version cannot block individual users or selectively disable their downloaded codes or fragment-based pages; no such protection is represented as active.
Privacy and browser storage notice
This notice describes the current static version. The operator is TIC CLEAN GROUP PTY LTD, ABN 36 692 978 984, ACN 692 978 984, Level 1/63-73 Ann St, Surry Hills NSW 2010. GST registered. A monitored support and abuse email is not yet configured. This notice must be completed with contact details before public commercial launch, and updated before adding accounts, payments, analytics or server-side storage.
What happens to your information
QR content is processed by JavaScript in your browser. Selecting “Save to my codes” stores the content, name and design settings in this browser's local storage. Wi-Fi credentials and contact details can be included, so do not save them on shared devices. Delete saved codes individually or clear this site's browser storage; downloaded files and copies shared elsewhere require separate deletion.
Business and reminder content is encoded in the URL fragment. Anyone with the full link or QR code can read it. Fragments are not normally sent as part of an HTTP request, but can be exposed through sharing, browser history, screenshots or page scripts. They are not confidential storage.
Hosting and external services
The site is hosted through ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure. Access can involve provider authentication and technical data such as IP address, browser information and request/security logs under those providers' practices. This application does not implement scan tracking or marketing analytics. Provider logging, cookies, retention periods, processing countries and legal roles have not yet been fully verified; this notice does not promise Australian-only storage.
Business-logo and cover images load from the URLs you supply. Those image hosts receive network requests, which can include an IP address and browser details. Opening external links takes you to that provider's service and privacy practices. Avoid loading sensitive or untrusted image links.
Payments
No card collection is implemented in this site. Separately shared checkout links are processed by Square under its privacy practices. Payment data and merchant transaction records are separate from browser-saved QR content. A complete payment-data notice is required before subscriptions launch.
Access, correction and complaints
You can review or remove locally saved entries in “My codes”. Operator-held information requests, corrections and privacy complaints need a monitored business contact, which is pending confirmation. If you already purchased, use the seller contact details on your receipt. Where the Privacy Act applies, statutory access, correction and complaint rights remain available; after first raising an issue with the organisation and allowing a reasonable response period, the OAIC may be able to assist. Privacy Act coverage for the operator must be assessed rather than assumed.
Reporting misuse and requesting help
Pre-launch: a monitored support and abuse-reporting address is not yet configured. This page does not submit reports or send messages. Please do not enter sensitive details here. If you have a receipt, use the seller contact details on it.
A useful report should include the QR destination or full page link, a short explanation, the date observed and any relevant screenshot. Do not open a suspected malicious destination or download illegal material to gather evidence. Do not include passwords, full card details or unlawful material in a report.
For suspected scams, visit Scamwatch. To report cybercrime, visit ReportCyber. These external channels do not submit a report to QR Studio. For an immediate danger in Australia, call 000.
Before launch, a monitored reporting address, review procedure and appropriate technical response controls must be configured. External destination hosts may also have their own abuse-reporting process.
Australian guidance
These drafts draw on the ACCC consumer remedy guidance, ACCC contract guidance and OAIC privacy-policy guidance. Their inclusion is not regulatory approval. Obtain Australian legal review of the final service and terms before commercial launch.
